Sand County Foundation was pleased to partner with Taking Care of Texas to showcase the Leopold Conservation Award during the 2012 Earth Day Dallas event. The Leopold Conservation Award in Texas is presented in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Silver Eagle Distributors.
Earth Day Dallas, which featured a talk by former First Lady, Laura Bush, is an annual, outdoor festival that exists to heighten environmental awareness in North Texas. The event, which was open to the public took place April 21-22 at Fair Park. It was attended by approximately 75,000 guests, including leaders from the corporate, academic, and non-profit worlds.
